A new BOY in town - November 08

As a further indication of our continued investment in the newly acquired PDT business, a new BOY 90M injection moulding machine has been acquired at our Wednesbury site to upgrade our existing machines.

This investment in new machinery is improving production speed and efficiencies enabling Serco Plastic Injections Moulders to meet customer demand.

Warehouse Re-organisation - September 08

Warehouse re-organisation at the new Wednesbury site has resulted in the purchase and installation of a new narrow aisle racking system and the purchase of a new Narrow Aisle Flexi Fork Lift Truck to access the racking.

This is a continuation in the on-going investment in the newly acquired business.

Serco acquire PDT - August 08

Serco Plastic Injection Moulders has recently added to its range of products and services with the acquisition of the assets of Plastic Development Techniques based at Block 2, Unit 4, Wednesbury Trading Estate, Darlaston Road, Wednesbury, WS10 7JN.

This addition now increases our operational capacity to 17 modern moulding machines from 22T – 250T and we can now offer some exciting new products for the Catering industry, Packaging industry and the Civil Engineering industry.

This addition to Serco Plastic Injection Moulders emphasises our commitment for continuous improvement and this growth will continue to make and reflect our determination to respond positively to customer demand.

Serco exhibit at Subcon 2008 - April 08

This year Serco exhibited at the UK’s only International show dedicated to engineering services, Subcon 2008.  Exhibiting for the first time, we had a great show and received many new enquiries for technical mouldings.  This show proved to be a very successful 3 days.
